Barcelona confident of signing 45-goal striker after ‘positive meetings’
Despite financial uncertainties around Barcelona the Spanish club are hopeful of concluding a transfer deal that is likely to be worth around €100million.
Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski is a wanted man in Catalonia and there has supposedly been a number of ‘positive meetings’ with the 34-year-old’s representatives, according to Sport.
Transfer fee and wages would total in excess of €100million for the striker who has 45 goals this season for Bayern – the sticking point is that the Polish veteran wants a three-year contract.
Barcelona had wanted to sign Erling Haaland, but his fees would be completely out of the realm of what is financially possible for the former Spanish champions.
