Independiente’s Performance and Key Players
In an exciting Argentine Primera Division game Independiente and River Plate tied. Football expert Gastón Edul said Independiente was better than River Plate and showed more character than in their previous matches. But they couldn’t score even with all their chances including some goals that got called back and Cabral missing some good opportunities which meant they didn’t win.

Franco Armani’s Impact
Franco Armani was really good showing off his quick reactions and how he leads the team. Ever since he came to River Plate in 2018 he’s been super important for them in Argentina and international games. His big saves really helped stop Independiente from scoring and kept River Plate in it.
Challenges in River Plate’s Attack
River Plate’s young striker Facundo Colidio who usually moves really well and scores goals was stuck by himself. The fact that River’s forwards weren’t connecting well was a big reason they couldn’t win. Colidio who normally plays really good couldn’t do much which showed how much trouble River Plate had with attacking.
