Franco Vázquez has decided not to join Club Atlético Belgrano, putting his family first as he waits for his child to be born in Italy. The Argentine-Italian midfielder is still without a club which means teams can get him without paying any transfer money.

  • Vázquez is going to have a baby in Italy, which is why he wants to stay there.
  • He doesn’t have a club right now and is looking at offers from teams that want experienced players.
  • César Luis Merlo, a journalist confirmed what he decided.

Vázquez’s Career and Achievements

Franco Vázquez, who’s really good at creating plays has played more than 300 games as a pro and scored about 50 goals. He’s played at places like Palermo, Sevilla and Parma and done really well at all of them. He went to Sevilla FC for €15 million and was super important in their midfield. Vázquez also played for Italy a couple times, getting 2 caps.

He just finished playing at Cremonese in June 2025, and now he’s available for teams who need better midfielders. If you want to know more about when he played at Sevilla, you can check out Sevilla FC’s profile.

Future Prospects and Speculations

Since Vázquez isn’t with any team right now he could go anywhere really. He chose his family instead of going back to Argentina which shows how much he cares about having both a good personal and work life. Even though he’s not joining Belgrano right now people still think he might go back to Argentina someday.

Teams from different leagues might want to get Vázquez since he’s available and he’s got lots of experience and is really skilled in midfield. The way he plays so smooth and sees the game makes him really good for teams who want to score more goals.

Belgrano and Vázquez’s Potential Return

Even though Vázquez isn’t joining Belgrano cause of personal stuff the club is still really important to him. His skills and all his time playing in Europe makes lots of teams want him. If you want to know more about Club Atlético Belgrano you can look at Belgrano’s profile.

Vázquez’s situation shows how hard it is for players to handle both personal stuff and playing football. While teams keep watching what he’s doing everyone’s waiting to see where this talented midfielder ends up next.
