Alan Velasco looks like he’s gonna make a big move from FC Dallas to Boca Juniors with them offering like 10 million dollars. The left winger really wants to join the Argentine club and he’s even stopped traveling with his team to make it happen. This whole thing shows how MLS and Argentine football keep swapping players back and forth.
- Velasco really wants to go back to Argentina and play for Boca Juniors
- FC Dallas hasn’t said anything yet about Boca’s 10 million dollar offer
- It’s kinda normal now to see players going between MLS and Argentine teams
Velasco’s Transfer Ambitions
Alan Velasco who’s playing for FC Dallas right now is trying real hard to get to Boca Juniors. This guy César Luis Merlo posted on Twitter that Velasco just stopped showing up for Dallas trips which pretty much shows he wants to go back home. Boca Juniors who always try to get good players think Velasco would be great for their team in the Argentine Primera Division.
Alan Velasco presiona para jugar en Boca: no viajará esta noche a Dallas, tal como estaba estipulado.

FC Dallas and MLS Transfer Dynamics
FC Dallas still hasn’t said nothing about Boca’s 10 million dollar offer for Velasco. It’s like part of this bigger thing where players keep going from MLS back to Argentina cause they want to play there and get noticed more. FC Dallas actually wanted to keep Velasco around and even gave him a contract till 2028 cause they thought he was really good. This kind of reminds people of other MLS deals like Leonardo Campana moving which shows MLS is getting bigger and making smart moves.
Implications for Argentine and MLS Football
This whole Velasco thing shows how MLS and Argentine football are really connected. While teams like Boca Juniors want players who’ve played in other countries the Argentine league is still somewhere lots of players wanna go. But at the same time MLS keeps getting players from South America just like when Velasco first came to Dallas from Independiente in 2022. All this moving around makes both leagues better and helps spread talent all over the world. If you wanna know more about Argentine football check out the Argentine Primera Division.
