Alan Velasco, the talented 22-year-old attacking midfielder from FC Dallas, is getting close to a big transfer to Argentine giants Boca Juniors. The deal, worth around $10 million is still being worked out, with both clubs trying to figure out payment details and tax stuff. If everything works out Velasco will probably sign a 4 to 5-year contract with Boca Juniors which shows they’re looking to get top players from Major League Soccer.

Velasco’s Potential Move to Boca Juniors
If Velasco comes to Boca Juniors it would really help their attack and shows how Argentine clubs are getting more players from MLS these days. Velasco started playing at Club Atlético Independiente before he went to FC Dallas in January 2022 where he became really important for the team. Even though he hurt his ACL in 2023 he came back strong in 2024 and showed how good he is.

Velasco’s Career and Impact
Since Velasco went from Club Atlético Independiente to FC Dallas, he’s been playing really good. Him maybe going to Boca Juniors fits with what they want to do to win more trophies in Argentina and South America. This is part of what’s happening in Argentine football where teams like Boca Juniors are trying to get good players from other countries.
Argentine Football Transfer Trends
Other big moves in Argentine football like Lucas Zelarayán going back to Belgrano show how teams want to get better players. Coaches Eduardo Domínguez and Gustavo Costas are staying longer at Estudiantes and Racing Club which is good for those teams. All this shows how much stuff changes in Argentine football transfers.
