Facundo Pons’ New Venture: From Defensores de Belgrano to Deportes Limache

Facundo Pons is gonna start a new journey as he moves from Defensores de Belgrano to Deportes Limache. The Argentine forward who is known for his goal scoring ability has ended his contract with his old club and is excited to show what he can do at his new team. They’ve got a verbal agreement for a contract until December and there’s a chance to add another year.

A New Chapter for Facundo Pons

Facundo Pons, the Argentine forward is really good at scoring goals. He just ended his contract with Defensores de Belgrano where he got seven goals in 13 games. His move to Deportes Limache opens up new chances for the 27-year-old striker. According to César Luis Merlo, they’ve agreed verbally that Pons will sign with Deportes Limache until December and maybe stay another year if things go good.


Pons’ Journey Through Argentine Football

Born in Venado Tuerto Argentina, Pons has done pretty good in football. He started playing in regional football for teams like Centenario and Atlético Elortondo. Then he played real good in the Torneo Federal B with Juventud Pueyrredón. In 2018 Pons joined Arsenal de Sarandí in the Primera B Nacional where he scored eight goals in 32 games which was pretty good. He also did well when he was loaned to Deportivo Riestra and Quilmes. Lately Pons has been playing for Alvarado, Macará and Estudiantes de Río Cuarto scoring lots of goals for different teams in different leagues.

The Argentine Primera División Landscape

The Argentine Primera División where Pons has played most of his career is changing a lot right now. Rosario Central is doing really good in Zona B, they’re winning with 35 points from 16 matches. At the same time Club Atlético Talleres is changing managers cause Pablo Guiñazú quit after they did bad. With all this happening, Pons going to Deportes Limache shows he can adapt and wants to keep doing good in different kinds of football.
