Jake Hastie is a midfielder whose stock is on the rise and that hasn’t gone unnoticed by a host of Championship clubs watching the youngsters progress at Motherwell.

The Daily Record report that a number of clubs have been scouting the 19-year old this season and were in attendance to see him impressively scoring in a 2-1 victory over St Mirren last week.

Scouts from Leeds United, West Brom, Norwich City, Swansea City and League One Sunderland were all reportedly in-attendance – with four goals in his last five appearances this season for Motherwell.

Hastie spent the first half of the season on-loan in the Scottish Championship with Alloa and impressed there too – scoring three and assisting four, before being recalled back to the first team at Motherwell.

Hastie is likely to be available on a reduced transfer due to his contract running down, but since he is an academy product there would be a fee involved from any buying club.
