Liverpool are sweating over young striker Rhian Brewster’s future at Anfield, with the 18-year old stalling over signing a fresh contract at the club. SunSport report that Paris St-Germain and Juventus are monitoring the situation and are keen on the England youth international.

Rhian Brewster became a familiar name internationally after playing a starring role for the England U17 team – helping the nation to World Cup success. More impressively was the fact that Brewster won the tournament’s top goalscorer aware – bagging eight goals on the way to World Cup success in India.

SunSport state that the real caveat in Rhian Brewster signing his first professional contract with Liverpool is the fact that he wants some assurances that he will get an opportunity to challenge for first team emergence over the next season. At the age of 18, and highly-rated it’s not a surprise that the striker has ambitions of proving himself at first team level.

Paris St-Germain are looking at the situation and are in the market for exciting talent, backed up by the signing of Kylian Mbappe who has so far shone for France en route to the final this Sunday. Juventus too are in the market for fresh faces after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo as well as more expected incomings and outgoings.

While the two European giants are at the forefront of the speculation, the report also states that rivals Arsenal, Tottenham, as well as Barcelona and Monaco have all in recent months analysed the situation regarding Brewster’s contract – and could still be watching on in the wings.

Rhian Brewster left Chelsea at 14 to come to Liverpool for footballing reasons, and no doubt the same decision will be made again when it comes to signing a first pro deal – but having already rejected the chance to move to RB Leipzig in Germany, Liverpool will have to give the striker the reassurances he needs.
