Oliver Burke’s Celtic admiration leads to direct West Brom response
Oliver Burke has suggested that he is enjoying life so much at Celtic since joining on-loan that he could see himself staying on in Glasgow beyond the current loan agreement.
However, in a response to talk that Oliver Burke could sign with Celtic permanently, West Brom manager Darren Moore made it clear where he stands on the Scottish international future (via the Birmingham Mail);
“As far as we are concerned we sent Oli up there to get some games. To play at a level that we thought was right for him.”
“We couldn’t of thought of anywhere better for him. The opportunity of Celtic coming in for him and working under the manager up there. That would help him develop to get him to where we think he should be.”
“Hopefully we get him back in the summer and see a more rounded Oli Burke because of the matches he has played.”
The decision to return and fight for a first team spot at the Baggies could be a whole lot more attractive if they return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
While it will come as potentially bad news for Celtic, West Brom fans will be excited to see a player back who has scored three in five league games for the Scottish champions.
