Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola ‘in the market’ for €75m-rated Madrid playmaker
He’s been linked with a move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City a number of times, and there seems no let up with Spanish news source Don Balon via Sky Sports reporting that Isco could quit Real Madrid for City this summer.
Real Madrid’s title-challenging form under Santiago Solari doesn’t seem to hold a regular place in the XI for Spanish international Isco, having missed out on the win against Atletico at the weekend. Isco in-fact hasn’t played 90 mins in La Liga since October 2018.
David Silva is still doing the job for Manchester City, but at 33 a long-term replacement needs to be identified and if reports are led to be true, Isco at 26-year old fits the bill for a fee in the region of €75 million.
Manchester City were quiet in the January transfer window but are expected to make signings in the summer to shake up their side after becoming a little bit more ‘worked out’ this season – albeit they won 6-0 against Chelsea this past Sunday.
