The latest report in the Mail says that Premier League trio Tottenham and city rivals Everton and Liverpool are battling it out to sign Club Brugge’s Netherlands winger Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld.

The 21-year old has become a household name in Belgium for his sparkling performances and his goal against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League group stage. An additional four goals and three assists in 11 league appearances for Brugge has got a number of clubs monitoring his progress.

While Club Brugge would not want to lose such a star player, they know they can now maximise their price for Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld, who also scored on his debut for the Netherlands back in October – ironically against Belgium.

The report in the Mail also says that AC Milan had made a firm bid for the Dutch international, of around £9 million, but that was rejected by Brugge – Premier League clubs if interested will have to be offering £10m and above for Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld.

Having been out with an injury since October, not playing a minute since, it will be interesting to see if Spurs, Everton or Liverpool will take a punt on signing the youngster in January, or potentially hold off until the summer transfer window.
