Leeds’ defender transfer target speaks out on ‘not knowing about interest’
Leeds were ambitiously linked to a potentially solid bit of business in the last transfer window and could very well maintain that interest heading into the summer, but the man in question apparently knew nothing about it.
Juan Foyth, Tottenham’s Argentine defender was reportedly wanted by fellow countryman Marcelo Bielsa in January to help the club back up to the Premier League.
The £8 million signing looked set for a long run in the Spurs first XI after breaking in last November, but hasn’t been back in the squad in the Premier League since December 2018.
Juan Foyth spoke on the rumours taking him to Leeds to Football.London saying;
“I was never told anything about that so I don’t know whether it was actually true or not.”
“I have to guide myself on what my agent says. Despite everything I started the season really wanting and looking forward to being here, despite not having a position [in the Champions League squad] and I just wanted to learn day by day.”
