Juventus are one of a number of clubs looking to sign Lazio and Serbia’s ‘in-demand’ 23-year old midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – but their Serie A rivals are ready to stamp their high-demands on their top asset.

Tuttosport in Italy state that Lazio have proposed to Juventus to part with their own impressive midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, 21, plus a whopping £89 million in funds for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The report does go on to say however that the two clubs are a considerable distance apart in negotiations, even if the move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Turin looks doable at some point in the summer transfer window.

There’s also reluctance to lose Rodrigo Bentancur at this stage, as Juventus feel he can become an integral figure in the Juve side for many years to come – and has looked impressive for Uruguay in their four World Cup matches so far.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has a superb season for Lazio in 2017/18, scoring 14 times and chipping in with an additional nine assists in all competitions, all while appearing 48 in times for the Italian capital club. The Serbian youngster had some success over Juventus earlier on last season, picking up a victory over the champions in a Supercoppa victory.
