German side Borussia Dortmund are looking to continue to shape their attack with English talent by reuniting their current international Jadon Sancho with former Man City teammate Phil Foden – according to the Daily Mail.

While Dortmund are the club making the most headway on this transfer story, clubs such as Paris St-Germain and RB Leipzig are also monitoring the availability of Phil Foden – with the 18-year old bound to be aware of the opportunities other young players are getting on the continent.

The German side will hope that their allure of offering first team football and a route way that is potentially quicker to the England national team, than Manchester City, with manager Pep Guardiola seemingly adamant that he will slowly work Foden into his plans and the first team side.

Interestingly, when England won the U17 World Cup Foden was the man of the match, scoring twice and starting the 5-2 final win against Spain. Jadon Sancho started on the bench and has now taken over the entire final winning squad – winning his first senior cap and becoming a regular star for Dortmund.

However, just a few week backs back in the League Cup against Oxford Phil Foden starred, scoring a third goal and monopolising all the headlines in the wake of the 3-0 victory. Otherwise Foden has only accumulated 31 minutes of gametime in the Premier League this season.

Jadon Sancho still has a contract that runs until 2020 and is expected to re-sign at his boyhood club of Man City, however if big clubs around the continent such as Dortmund do come calling with the offer of first team football it will prove an interesting test for Pep Guardiola in his handling in one of the club’s top talents.
