‘Don’t call it a comeback’ report reveals on Swansea City takeover bid

  • Feb 13, 12:56

Swansea City’s fall from the Premier League to mid-table in the Championship has raised plenty of questions, and the subsequent resignation by long-time Chairman Huw Jenkins and plunged the club into further doubt.

Over the past weekend it was reported across multiple sources that Huw Jenkins would come together with an Arab-backed group to make a shock takeover bid of the club – ousting the controversial American ownership of the Swans.

However, today’s Wales Online reports that the claims of a comeback and takeover bid are ‘wide of the mark’.

The report even says that Huw Jenkins himself is ‘puzzled’ and ‘at a loss’ to explain the rumours linking him with a sensational return to the club.

It would appear that Swansea City are going to have to stick it out with their current owners and hope that fans’ voices are heard when the transfer window re-opens in the summer.
